When I had my baby girl she slept like a dream for the first few months. Then five months in we hit a rough patch. I didn’t think we were doing anything differently, I couldn’t figure out what had changed and I agonised over it. It seems that amidst all the practical tips on how to raise a child (including on feeding, weaning and bathing) there was one thing nobody really advises you on…sleep!! As a first-time mum I assumed sleep just happened and it would figure itself out, but how wrong I was. The vast but conflicting advice from well meaning friends and family and my obsessive internet trawling never led to that ‘magic answer’. The result being two exhausted parents and a mummy with post-natal anxiety.

THE END OF WHAT FELT LIKE A LIFETIME OF STRUGGLING
I recently contacted Claire to assist with some sleep issues we were having with my 21 month old daughter. I’ll admit, I was apprehensive. My daughter Indie Belle had always been cuddled to sleep so I was scared having to make some big changes to her little life. I needn’t have worried. I’m so pleased that Claire was recommended to us. 2 years of approx 2 hours broken sleep a night and we were at our wits end having tried everything! We had got to the point where we just had to accept our son would never sleep and forced to deal with it. Time off work, miserable child, cancelling events all due to tiredness, sounds crazy but it’s true! As soon as I spoke to Claire on the phone I felt positive. If he wakes in the night I don’t immediately jump up and I don’t have the fast heartbeat in my chest that I need to do something to get him back to sleep, I simply listen to him and I can judge what I need to do.
