I myself have been on a long and difficult sleep journey with my daughter, who is super alert, high needs and highly sensitive, all of which made for some challenging sleep problems. The first six months or so we helplessly listened to her screams day and night- in hindsight, we now know this was caused by her inability to switch off and fall asleep leading to extreme overtiredness. Hence I can fully empathise with parents out there facing similar struggles.
After sleep training my daughter, she is a different child. She is able to self-settle through the night and has good quality naps. Although still high needs, it is obvious how much happier and less fussy she is. She is clear evidence that these sleep training methods work, and they can work for you too!
