Hi, I’m Kerry, I’m a mummy of two and a Certified Sleep Consultant.
If you’re reading this, it’s probably because you are feeling sleep deprived but you don’t know how to change things. And you may well be wondering if things will get better and if you’re ever going to get a good night’s sleep again (I know, I’ve been there!). But let me reassure you, they absolutely can and you will – and I say this both from my own experience of resolving my son’s sleep challenges, and from my experience of working with many families all around the world as a sleep consultant.
I became fascinated (and I’m not going to lie, a bit obsessed!) with children’s sleep after I had my son a few years ago – I knew that some babies don’t sleep well, so I thought I was ready for the sleep problems to come, but I don’t think you can know what it feels like until you’ve experienced it, and wow, did I experience it! For the first 8 months of his life we bounced him to sleep, and when our backs felt like they were finally about to give up, we decided we had to do something. I was so apprehensive but I’m so glad we did, within a few nights he was sleeping soundly at night and was a different child in the day.
And so I decided to retrain as a sleep consultant in order to help other children get more sleep, and a few years on I still love seeing what a difference good sleep makes to the families I work with and their little ones.
I work with babies as young as 18 weeks old to children aged 7 all over the world to help them and their families get a lot more sleep. I have experience of working with a whole range of sleep challenges, including:
trouble settling to sleep
multiple night wakes
refusal to stay in bed
