As natural as the need for sleep is, falling asleep, and staying asleep, is actually a learned skill and some children require more help to master it. Every child is unique and their personality and temperament will have a big impact on what it is they need to acquire this skill. You are your child’s first and most enduring teacher but that doesn’t mean you feel equipped to support your little one if they are having sleep challenges. I founded Parentology in response to all those parents who want to do the best for their family but just need a little support and guidance.
I’m Lucy, mum to two amazing girls who were the inspiration behind Parentology. I am also a childcare professional and trained antenatal teacher specialising in practical baby care, and colic and calming. If you are feeling frustrated, unsure, guilty or even a failure due to your child’s sleep challenges, please be rest assured that this is not your fault and there is a solution.
I can help resolve;
• Frequent night wakings,
• Nap refusal,
• Early rising,
• Night feeding,
• Stopping dummies,
• Fighting sleep/bedtime,
• Unwanted bedsharing,
I will work with you and your family to create a tailored plan that is gentle and responsive. I will also provide you with ongoing and personalised 1:1 parent support which will take away the guesswork and self-doubt and instead provide you with the motivation and guidance you need to stay on track and reach your goals.
Sleep is the foundation of a healthy and happy life. The lack of sleep has a huge impact both on ourselves as parents and on our growing and developing children. I can help you give your child the gift of sleep.
